Carbomer, USP/NF: |
DRUGPOL ( Carbomer USP /NF) : Derivative of synthetic high molecular weight cross linked polymer of acrylic acid, which conform to USP / NF specification as Carbomers. It is anionic polymer.

DRUGPOL is available in white, fine free flowing powder in fluffy form. The high molecular weight macromolecules of DRUGPOL polymers have high affinity towards water, alcohols, glycols and other solvents capable of hydrogen bonding.
Since DRUGPOL is water soluble, macro-molecular compound having high affinity to water, alcohols & glycol. To get a c clear transparent high viscous gel preparation it is required to dissolve DRUGPOL in such diluents followed by neutralization with an alkali ( preferably….)
Needless to mention that, DRUGPOL is much superior as compared to other neutral & synthetic water soluble polymers.
Even at a small quantity /low concentration it can produce very high viscosity due to the long rheology of DRUGPOL polymers.

Storage: |
DRUGPOL is hygroscopic in nature, hence should be stored under dry & clean condition. KEEP CONTAINER TIGHTLY CLOSED. Moisture pick up may result in lump formation.
